Taste of Baja

Santee Street Fair and Craft Beer Festival
May 26. Join more than 30,000 visitors for the 10th annual Santee Street Fair and Craft Beer Festival. Hotel Republic’s Rooftop BBQ
May 25. Kick off Memorial Day weekend with an all-you-can-eat barbecue on the rooftop of Hotel Republic. Executive chef JC Colón is bringing in Shane McIntyre (Herb & Wood), Kenzie Allen (JRDN at Tower 23) and Amol Thanky (Patio Marketplace) to create a menu featuring a whole roasted pig, free-range chicken, whole smoked salmon and California-inspired sides from the Little Italy farmers market. Memorial Day Weekend Fiesta and Pig Roast
May 26. Celebrate Memorial Day weekend at Hotel Palomar’s rooftop pool deck. Executive chef Brad Kraten of Curadero will be preparing a Mexican-style pig roast, which will be turned into carnitas tacos with all the fixings.
