Adams Avenue Unplugged
Apr. 28. Watch live musical performances inside restaurants, bars, coffee houses and galleries along a two-mile stretch of Adams Avenue. There will be 24 stages with 80 performances at venues such as Twiggs Coffeehouse, Beerfish, Polite Provisions, Blackmarket Bakery and more. Noon-10 p.m. Free. San Diego Made Spring Market
Apr. 28. Peruse handmade goods from more than 75 local artisans. Highlights of the market include eats by Mastiff Sausage Company, a coffee bar by Imperial Grounds Coffee, craft cocktails and draft beer from Thorn Brewing and Border X Brewing, as well as games, attractions and music by DJ Leeds. The first 100 people will receive a free swag bag filled with handcrafted local goods. Mission Federal ArtWalk
Apr. 28-29. Little Italy transforms into an urban art gallery and festival—the largest of its kind in Southern California—spanning 17 blocks packed with works by hundreds of emerging artists, a range of live music, food vendors, performance art and hands-on children’s activities. 11 a.m.-6 p.m. India Street, between Ash and Grape streets, Little Italy. artwalksandiego.org

 

 

 

Ocean Beach Beerfest
Apr. 29. Bring your pup to this event, which is just as much about them as it is about you! Find dog-oriented vendors and a dog play area right on the sand of Dog Beach. For humans, head to the beer garden for unlimited samples of craft beer from both local and regional breweries. VIP 1 p.m., event 2-5 p.m. GA $30, VIP $40. Waterfront Chocolate Festival
Apr. 29. Head to the Maritime Museum of San Diego to experience a range of tastes from vendors, a seaside scavenger hunt, make-your-own chocolate pizzas, cooking demonstrations, chocolate pairings with wine and beer, and more. Taste Regions of Italy Dinner Series: Campania
Apr. 26. Discover the flavors of the famed Amalfi coast of Campania at this multi-course, wine-paired dinner. Chefs Joe Magnanelli and Daniel Wolinsky take inspiration from the vast selection of seafood the coastline has to offer, as well as plains that are home to buffalo, cow, goat and sheep that produce some of the most famous cheeses. Liberty Call Distilling’s 4th Anniversary Party
Apr. 28. Liberty Call Distilling is celebrating four years of making award-winning rum, whiskey and gin. For this anniversary, new spirits will be released, including Cask Strength Old Ironsides finished in a rum barrel, a Cabernet Barrel Rested Gin and Tiki Bitters. Additional highlights include live jazz by the Justin Joyce Trio, craft cocktails from lead bartender Albert Allison and plates from chef Miguel Valdez. 21+. 2-6 p.m. Free. ARTS + CULTURE

Kiefer Sutherland at the Music Box
Apr. 27. Best known for his work as an actor (24, Designated Survivor), Kiefer Sutherland also pursued a career in music. He has played more than 120 shows, including performances at Stagecoach, the Glastonbury Festival and the Grand Ole Opry, and is currently on tour to promote his newest album Down in a Hole. Art Alive
Apr. 27-29. This annual three-day exhibit at the San Diego Museum of Art features more than 100 intricate floral interpretations of the museum’s permanent collection by floral designers invited to put their artistic talents to the test. Highlights include the premiere dinner, the Bloom Bash opening celebration and a flower crown making workshop. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Free for museum members; $25 non-members; $5 ages 7-17. Student Shakespeare Festival
Apr. 28. Enjoy performances of Shakespeare’s plays put on by hundreds of K-12 students representing San Diego City and County schools. The children will be performing 10-minute scenes, sonnets, music and dances on several stages along the Prado. We Are Thomasse
Apr. 28. Come see Nick Thomas and Sarah Masse who make up the British-American sketch comedy duo We Are Thomasse in their rapid-fire live show where they will combine his British wit with her American energy. “American Mariachi”
